PSWC with a view not only to promote exports from the state but also to help in easing the pressure being generated due to accumulation of wheat and rice stocks in the state due to disparity in out flow and inflow of fresh stocks in each year, entered the field of export of food grains and with persistent follow up and efforts was declared as a canalysing agency for exports under the government of India scheme. The corporation entered the field of export of food grains during Sep. 2002, and till 31/08/04 has been able to export wheat to the tune of 15,27,104.00 MT's valuing Rs. 743.94 Crores similarly the corporation has been able to export rice to the tune of 563911.272 MTs valuing to Rs. 364.25 Crores

The Punjab State Warehousing Corporation has been able to earn service charges and interest to the tune of Rs. 5,76,95,067 so far out of this operation. The corporation was able to liquidate lusture lost wheat to the tune of 416006.225 MTs through export as a result of which this wheat which otherwise would have been damaged resulting into loss has successfully been exported.

Air Cargo Facility at Ludhiana

PSWC has set up an air cargo facility (bonded trucking facility) at its CFS, Ludhiana. This facility has started functioning and the exports are given doorstep facility to export their cargo by air through Indira Gandhi Airport, New Delhi & International Airport Amritsar.
